Job Summary
The Associate Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the collection, maintenance, validation, and quality of engineering and operational data across multiple business systems. This role performs routine data management activities, assists with data quality initiatives, and supports the development of datasets, reports, and analytical tools used by engineering and operations teams. The Associate Data Analyst is expected to build technical and business knowledge while progressively contributing to more complex data and analytics projects.
Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of engineering and operational data across multiple business systems and databases.

Perform data quality control (QC), validation, and correction activities to support engineering, operations, and business reporting.

Support data capture, data entry, and data maintenance processes required for operational and analytical workflows.

Assist in creating and maintaining datasets, reports, dashboards, and visualizations that support business decision-making.

Monitor data quality issues and escalate discrepancies when appropriate.

Support routine data integration and reporting processes following established standards and procedures.

Collaborate with engineers, field personnel, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely data.

Learn and apply data analytics tools, programming techniques, and business processes to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Document processes, maintain data standards, and follow established governance practices.

Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Competencies

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

Basic knowledge of data analytics concepts and business intelligence tools.

Basic understanding of relational databases and data management principles.

Basic understanding of data modeling and data integration concepts.

Basic programming or query skills (SQL preferred) with the ability to retrieve and manipulate data using established methods.

Required Qualifications

High school Diploma (or GED).

An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test
Preferred Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, Data Analytics, Information Science/Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting or related from an accredited college or university.

Minimum of two (2) years of experience within the Oil and Gas industry working as Engineering Tech, Engineering Specialist, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, IT Analyst or related role.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.

Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
