Summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL is recruiting for Clinical Data Analyst. For Florida residents and other select states (AL, AZ, AR, FL, GA, ID, IN, IA, KS, LA, MS, MO, MT, NC, OH, OK, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WY) this full-time remote position offers a remote work arrangement.

The Clinical Analyst is responsible for supporting Moffitt's mission to contribute to the prevention and cure of cancer through data analysis, reporting, and visualization. This role partners with clinical, operational, and finance leaders to develop actionable insights that drive efficiency, quality, and throughput. The analyst also supports enterprise reporting needs, including inpatient metrics such as bed utilization and discharge performance, and maintains Power BI dashboards to ensure timely, accurate, and meaningful data delivery.

Minimum Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • Three (3) years prior work experience in a health care environment focusing on data analysis and interpretation.

Minimum Skills/Specialized Training Required:

  • Strong skills in Excel, data modeling, and reporting tools

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders

  • Attention to detail and data accuracy

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior work experience in quality management, clinical decision support and/ or utilization review management activities.

  • Experience working with healthcare data systems (EHR, OR systems, bed management)

Preferred Skills/Specialized Training

  • Proficiency in Power BI

Responsibilities:

Provide analytical support by transforming data from multiple sources into actionable insights and performance metrics.

  • Serve as the primary data and analytics resource for assigned patient care areas, supporting operational performance, quality outcomes, and resource utilization.

  • Develop, maintain, and distribute reports and dashboards on key clinical, operational, and financial performance metrics, including:

    • Service volume and demand trends

    • Resource utilization and capacity management

    • Timeliness and schedule adherence

    • Process efficiency and throughput performance

    • Productivity and workflow metrics

    • Patient access and flow measures

  • Partner with clinical and operational leadership to identify opportunities for process improvement, operational efficiency, and service optimization.

  • Analyze and interpret complex data to provide clear, actionable insights that support decision-making and performance improvement initiatives.

  • Support reporting and analytics needs across patient care and operational areas, including:

    • Capacity, utilization, and resource management reporting

    • Patient flow, throughput, and care delivery metrics

    • Volume, productivity, and performance trend analysis

    • Operational and quality performance monitoring

Salary Range

$54,745.60 - $83,491.20

Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
