Data Analyst
Hallford Travels
Job description
The Work
This Data Analyst position supports Hallford Travels by helping the team turn operational information into reliable analysis that clarifies trends, exceptions, and priorities. It is a full-time, 100% remote opportunity for U.S.-based candidates.
Operating context: Personalized leisure-vacation planning with support before, during, and after travel. This position works across traveler requests, itinerary details, supplier confirmations, booking records, and follow-up tasks. Its company-specific focus is cruise, resort, flight, hotel, excursion, and transportation coordination, with a strong expectation that unconfirmed details remain clearly labeled until verified.
A Typical Workflow
Translate operational questions into scoped analyses, useful metrics, and clearly documented recommendations. Validate and reconcile source data, documenting gaps, duplicates, and inconsistent definitions before analysis begins.
-
Build recurring reports or simple dashboards that show workload, quality, cycle time, outcomes, and open exceptions.
-
Investigate unusual results, trace them back to source records, and explain findings in plain language.
-
Maintain calculation logic, field definitions, filters, and refresh notes so outputs can be reviewed and repeated.
Candidate Profile
-
Strong spreadsheet, data-cleaning, reconciliation, and analytical reasoning skills.
-
Ability to explain methods, assumptions, limitations, and findings clearly.
-
Careful documentation of definitions and repeatable reporting logic.
-
Comfort collaborating with non-technical operational stakeholders.
In this Data Analyst role, success means source data is traceable, recurring outputs arrive on time, numbers reconcile, and findings lead to practical follow-up rather than unexplained charts. Work should be accurate enough to review, documented enough to continue, and timely enough that avoidable delay is visible before it becomes a customer or operating problem.
