Data Analyst Intern (Mandarin Required)
LSEV USA Corp
Job description
About the Role
We are an AI-native company building intelligent products at the intersection of technology and consumer experience. As we grow, we're looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Data Analyst Intern to help us make better sense of our business and financial data.
This is a hands-on learning opportunity where you'll work directly with our Head of Finance and get real exposure to how data drives decisions in a fast-moving startup. You'll spend most of your time digging into business data — sales trends, operational metrics, inventory patterns — and supporting financial data organization on the side. If you love working with numbers, building clean spreadsheets, and turning messy data into clear insights, this is for you.
Strong performers will be considered for a full-time offer upon completion of the internship.
What You'll Learn & Do
-
Collect, organize, and clean business and operational data for ongoing analysis and reporting.
-
Build and maintain Excel-based reports and dashboards that track key business metrics — sales performance, inventory movement, and operational trends.
-
Assist with reconciling and structuring financial data to support internal reporting and CPA review.
-
Identify patterns, inconsistencies, or anomalies in data and surface findings to the team.
-
Support ad hoc data requests from cross-functional teams — operations, finance, and business development.
-
Help document data workflows and reporting templates to improve team efficiency over time.
What We're Looking For
-
Currently enrolled in a degree program in Data Analytics, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field — valid CPT authorization required.
-
Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese — written and spoken proficiency in both is required.
-
Strong Excel skills are a must: pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic formulas. You should be able to build a clean, functional spreadsheet from scratch without being walked through it.
-
Detail-oriented and proactive — if something looks off, you flag it and follow through without being reminded.
-
Comfortable wearing multiple hats — data cleaning, formatting, and ad hoc requests are part of the job, and you're okay with that.
-
You can handle ambiguity. We don't always have a perfect brief ready for you. You ask smart questions, figure it out, and get it done.
-
You're here to learn by doing — not to observe, delegate, or wait for the 'interesting' work to come to you.
-
Exposure to SQL, Python, or data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) is a bonus — but a strong work ethic and attention to detail will take you further here than any tool.
What You'll Get
-
Direct mentorship from the Head of Finance — you'll see how data connects to real business decisions, not just classroom theory.
-
Hands-on experience with live business and financial data.
-
Exposure to AI-native workflows and tools that most companies haven't adopted yet.
-
A clear path to a full-time role for high performers — we promote from within.
-
Flexible scheduling to accommodate your academic calendar.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Benefits:
-
401(k)
-
Paid time off
Work Location: In person
