Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. This role requires a strong understanding of data analysis techniques, proficiency in various analytical tools, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.

Education requirements: · Bachelor’s Degree preferred in data analytics, statistics, operations research, business analytics, economics, supply chain management, logistics, information systems, mathematics, or a related field is desired
Experience Requirements:
● One to three years of relevant professional, internship, or military experience involving data analysis, operational analysis, logistics, or program support.
● Proficiency using Microsoft Excel for data preparation, validation, analysis, pivot tables, charts, and reporting.
● Ability to collect, clean, reconcile, and analyze information from multiple structured and unstructured sources.
● Ability to translate analytical findings into clear charts, summaries, information papers, briefings, and recommendations.
● Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, source traceability, configuration control, and quality assurance.
● Experience working collaboratively with senior analysts, logistics subject matter experts, Government personnel, and military stakeholders.
Required Tasks:
● Ability to work on-site at the Pentagon M-F from 0730-1630.
● Strong written and verbal communication skills.
● Active DoD Secret security clearance and ability to maintain the clearance throughout employment.
● Other Tasks in support of performance work statement (PWS) direction and when required may include:
Research emerging Department of War, Joint, Naval, and Marine Corps strategies, concepts, doctrine, directives, and wargaming reports.
Collect, organize, validate, and analyze data supporting logistics concepts, wargames, experiments, studies, and assessments.
Assist with identifying logistics trends, capability implications, gaps, risks, and dependencies affecting the Fleet Marine Force and Marine Air-Ground Task Force.
Support development of information papers, decision briefs, presentations, after-action reports, and recommendations.
Compile and analyze inputs supporting Marine Corps Campaign of Learning, Planning, Programming, Budgeting, Execution, and Assessment, and capability-based assessment activities.
Maintain action-item trackers, calendars, milestones, reference materials, and supporting data for logistics advisory activities.
Document meeting results and consolidate inputs from Marine Corps, Navy, Joint Staff, and other stakeholders.
Maintain current information and analytical products within authorized SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and other Government information-management environments.
Collect and analyze data concerning logistics functional capabilities, capability gaps, requirements, and investment recommendations.
Support annual capability and gap analyses across applicable Capability Portfolio Managers.
Review Joint capability-development products and assist in identifying impacts on Marine Corps logistics equities and priorities.
Support evaluation of Joint Universal Needs Statements and capability-development documents.
Develop charts, tables, dashboards, and other visualizations for information and decision briefs.
Track requirements, milestones, risks, decisions, and actions supporting Functional Capabilities Boards and Joint Capability Boards.
Assist with analytical support for Marine Corps capability-based assessments, POM planning, and Joint capability integration.
Maintain and analyze information concerning current and emerging logistics platforms, including build, delivery, transition, funding, maintenance, and readiness data.
Identify trends, inconsistencies, gaps, and readiness challenges within available logistics and platform data.
Support development of recurring reports, meeting materials, papers, briefings, and updates to logistics doctrine and policy.
Track Marine Corps and Navy logistics initiatives, platform schedules, funding profiles, action items, and stakeholder inputs.
Assist with analysis supporting Maritime Prepositioning Force and Global Prepositioning Network exercises.
Support Continuous Process Improvement initiatives through process mapping, data collection, baseline measurement, performance analysis, and results tracking.
Help develop plans of action and milestones, project trackers, process-improvement reports, and return-on-investment analyses.
Apply sound data-management and quality-control practices to ensure analytical products are accurate, traceable, reproducible, and suitable for Government decision-making.
Desired Experience:
● Experience supporting the Department of Defense, Department of the Navy, Headquarters Marine Corps, or another Service-level headquarters.
● Familiarity with Marine Corps logistics, the Fleet Marine Force, MAGTF operations, Force Design, or expeditionary and naval logistics.
● Familiarity with PPBEA, POM development, or capability portfolio management assessments.
● Experience with military funding data.
● Experience developing Power BI dashboards or other interactive data visualizations.
● Working knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Visio, and task or action-management systems such as ETMS2.
● Experience taking meeting minutes and after action reporting for wargames, exercises, experimentation, studies, or after-action analysis.
● Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma, process mapping, Continuous Process Improvement, or return-on-investment analysis.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $83,000.00 per year
