Job Summary

Upen Group is seeking a motivated Junior Data Analyst to support reporting, data analysis, and business intelligence initiatives. This position is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to gain hands-on experience with SQL, Excel, Power BI, and data visualization tools.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in working with data, identifying trends, improving reporting processes, and helping teams make data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

Write and maintain basic SQL queries to extract, analyze, and validate data
Perform data cleaning, formatting, and validation using Microsoft Excel
Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools
Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and data-quality issues
Support recurring reports and ad hoc business requests
Document reporting processes, metrics, and data definitions
Collaborate with internal teams supporting vendor and client projects
Assist with developing data-driven recommendations to improve business operations

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools
Understanding of reporting, key performance indicators, and data-quality concepts
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Good communication and problem-solving abilities
Recent graduates and candidates with zero to two years of experience are encouraged to apply

Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (green card holder)

Must be able to pass all required background and client security screenings
Some assignments may have additional security-clearance requirements
