Job Description

We are seeking an experienced

Android Developer

with a strong background in developing enterprise-grade mobile applications within the

Banking and Financial Services domain

. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Android development, modern mobile architectures, and secure financial application development.

Required Qualifications

15+ years of overall IT experience with a strong focus on Android application development.
10–12 years of experience is acceptable for Ex-JPMC candidates.
Mandatory experience working in the

Banking or Financial Services industry

.
Strong expertise in Android development using

Java and Kotlin

.
Hands-on experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, Jetpack Components, and Material Design.
Experience developing and supporting large-scale mobile banking applications.
Strong understanding of mobile application security, authentication, encryption, and secure coding standards.
Experience integrating RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend systems.
Knowledge of application performance optimization, debugging, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Android mobile applications for banking and financial services platforms.
Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, architects, and backend teams to deliver high-quality mobile solutions.
Develop secure, scalable, and high-performing mobile applications that meet banking compliance and security standards.
Implement new features, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize application performance.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development best practices.
Work closely with QA teams to ensure application quality and stability.
Contribute to architecture discussions and technical design decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with

JPMorgan Chase (JPMC)

banking applications and platforms.
Experience with mobile payment systems, digital banking, wealth management, lending, or credit card platforms.
Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
Knowledge of modern mobile application architectures such as MVVM and Clean Architecture.
