Job description

Overview

We are a new hardware security division in a public company, building advanced security technologies across semiconductors, cryptography, and quantum systems.

We are looking for a Systems Infrastructure Engineer to own the systems that keep our engineering team moving quickly and reliably. This role will span cloud infrastructure, FPGA compute farms, CI/CD, build systems, and performance measurement infrastructure.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who is comfortable working across software, hardware, and cloud environments. You will work closely with hardware, cryptography, and software engineers to make builds reproducible, tests reliable, infrastructure scalable, and performance data easy to trust.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and improve AWS infrastructure using Terraform

  • Manage infrastructure for FPGA farms and hardware-in-the-loop test environments

  • Own and improve CI/CD pipelines for software, firmware, hardware, and compiler workflows

  • Maintain and optimize Bazel-based build systems

  • Build infrastructure for automated testing, benchmarking, regression tracking, and performance measurement

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering

  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (ideally Terraform)

  • Experience with Bazel or another large-scale build system

  • Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages

  • Familiarity with networking, IAM/permissions, databases, monitoring, and cloud security basics

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with FPGA farms, hardware labs, hardware-in-the-loop testing, or remote lab infrastructure

  • Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines

  • Experience building benchmark infrastructure or performance regression tracking systems

  • Experience with GitHub Actions or Jenkins

This role is hybrid, and can be based in our New York City office or our Portland, Oregon office.
