Job description

Description:

HOH Water Technology is a third-generation, family-owned water treatment company proudly celebrating over 58 years in business. Our success has always been about more than water treatment. It is about investing in people and creating lasting impact for our clients, coworkers, and community. We believe our people are our greatest competitive advantage, and we have built a culture centered around our Core Values of Accountability, Creativity, Teamwork, and Service.

We are looking for a Product Manager – Boiler & Cooling who wants to play a strategic role in shaping the future of HOH's largest product portfolio. This position combines technical expertise, product management, vendor partnership, and field enablement to help drive revenue growth, profitability, and operational excellence across our boiler and cooling business.

About the Role

This is a highly visible, strategic role on our Technical Services Team that owns the Boiler & Cooling product portfolio from end to end. The Product Manager serves as the organization's subject matter expert and primary resource for product knowledge, vendor relationships, technical support, pricing strategy, and product line performance.

You will:

  • Own and manage the Boiler & Cooling product portfolio, ensuring the right products, pricing, documentation, and resources are available to support customer success and company growth.

  • Develop strategic vendor relationships that improve product availability, technical support, and profitability.

  • Support sales and service teams by providing technical guidance, troubleshooting expertise, and application recommendations.

  • Lead product line reviews, portfolio optimization efforts, and product launch initiatives.

  • Drive field effectiveness by creating technical resources, training programs, application guides, and sales enablement materials.

  • Collaborate with Operations, Materials Management, Marketing, and Technical Solutions teams to improve business performance and support innovation initiatives.

  • Report to our Palatine, Illinois office as needed while supporting field teams throughout the organization.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience of $130,000-$160,000.

  • Comprehensive Benefits: Medical and Dental Insurance with generous employer contributions, HSA contributions, 401(k) with company matching, Life Insurance, and much more.

  • Generous Time Off: PTO and paid holidays, including HOH's year-end holiday schedule.

  • Profit Sharing Bonus: Participate in our company-wide profit-sharing program

  • Engaging Culture: Caring leaders who invest in people and create meaningful opportunities for growth and connection.

  • Career Growth: Ongoing professional development, technical training, industry education, and leadership development opportunities.

You'll Love This Role If...

  • You enjoy building and improving systems. You naturally create structure, documentation, and repeatable processes that help others succeed.

  • You are passionate about water treatment. You enjoy solving complex boiler and cooling water challenges and helping others apply technical expertise effectively.

  • You like coaching and developing people. You find satisfaction in helping field teams become more capable and successful rather than always being the person solving the problem yourself.

  • You think like a business owner. You enjoy managing product lines, evaluating margins, working with suppliers, and making decisions that drive long-term business results.

  • You are naturally curious. You want to understand how things work and constantly explore better products, processes, and partnerships.

  • You are an exceptional communicator. You can translate technical concepts into practical guidance and build confidence throughout the organization.

What You'll Be Doing

Field Enablement & Capability Building

  • Create technical playbooks, troubleshooting guides, and application resources.

  • Develop training programs and educational content for sales and service teams.

  • Collaborate with Marketing on market segmentation, positioning, and product messaging.

  • Support innovation initiatives and assume ownership of successful product launches.

  • Product margins consistently meet or exceed company targets.

  • Field processes, reporting, and program execution become increasingly standardized and scalable.

  • Sales and service teams have the tools, training, and resources needed to serve customers effectively.

  • Product information, pricing guidance, and technical documentation remain accurate, accessible, and current.
