Job description
Grasslands Environmental has been a family-owned and operated environmental services company since its founding in 2010. Our company has grown from a single location and 12 employees to servicing four states in the Mid-South and Midwest with 125 employees. We are an energetic group that is looking to add a qualified Senior Accountant that is capable to handle multiple tasks and assume multiple rolls when needed.
Job Description: This position reports to the Corporate Controller and is responsible in part or whole for the following:

Validate month-end account balances through preparation of reconciliations and analysis of income statement and balance sheet account reconciliations.

Perform operational statistical and metrics tracking, evaluate financial performance comparing actual results to plans while also making recommendations to obtain goals

Perform payroll

Prepare and review various month end close entries including insurance, intercompany reconciliations and payroll entries

Assist operations team by providing KPI information on a daily basis

Special projects/ad hoc request as assigned
Location: Business is in Nashville, TN
Hours: 45-50 a week, may vary from time to time. Start time between 8 and 8:30AM.
Wages: This will be a salaried position, starting $80,000-$90,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required with concentration in finance / accounting

Strong understanding of US GAAP

CPA or MBA or equivalent certification preferred

2+ years of relevant work experience

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Proficient in Microsoft Office products

Proficient in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
