Job description

About Rolr

ROLR is building a prediction markets platform delivering the frontier of trading on sports, culture, economics, AI, commodities, and geopolitics.

You'll be on a nimble startup-like team within a public company. Our flagship consumer surface is an iOS app, and we intend it to feel like it could only have been made for iPhone. Our differentiation lives before the cashier: the game, the graph, and the notification. How the product feels in the hand is strategy, not polish, and this role will play a key part in delivering that experience.

Role Overview

We're looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to join our team in New York and own the iOS engineering experience for our prediction markets platform. You'll work across React Native and Swift, with significant ownership of native interactions, performance, mobile components, and App Store delivery. You'll be the person in the room who represents what the platform should feel like in the hand: the haptic on a fill, the numeral that ticks without jittering the layout, the sheet that moves the way Apple says sheets move.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build the iOS interaction layer across React Native and Swift

  • Develop gestures, haptics, transitions, navigation, animations, and other native interactions

  • Build and maintain native components within the wider mobile design system

  • Build real-time trading interfaces that remain performant under live market conditions

  • Implement authentication that feels invisible until it matters: OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect flows, passkeys via AuthenticationServices, and Touch ID / Face ID via LocalAuthentication with Secure Enclave-backed keys

  • Develop native Swift modules where React Native is not sufficient

  • Monitor and improve app performance, including cold start, frame time, and memory usage

  • Manage App Store releases, TestFlight, phased rollouts, and submission requirements for a regulated finance category

  • Support multi-market functionality, including localization and jurisdiction-specific features

  • Support code reviews, technical design discussions, and mentoring across the engineering team

You’ll need to:

  • Have 6+ years of professional iOS engineering experience

  • Have shipped production consumer applications to the App Store that you're proud to demo

  • Have strong Swift experience, including SwiftUI and UIKit

  • Have production React Native experience, or strong native experience with the ability to work in a hybrid architecture

  • Have production experience with iOS authentication and security frameworks: LocalAuthentication, Keychain Services, AuthenticationServices (passkeys), and OAuth 2.0 / OIDC token flows

  • Have experience with mobile design systems and component libraries

  • Understand mobile performance, accessibility, and Apple Human Interface Guidelines

  • Be comfortable working in a small, senior engineering team with significant ownership

  • Be based in New York and work out of our New York office

Preferred Experience

  • Trading, fintech, prediction markets, or other real-time consumer applications

  • Keycloak or comparable OIDC identity platforms

  • Multi-country or jurisdiction-specific applications

  • Live Activities, widgets, App Intents, or rich notifications

  • Real-time charting or data visualization

  • Mobile CI/CD: Fastlane, Xcode Cloud, or GitHub Actions release automation

  • AI-native development workflows, including agentic coding and AI-assisted testing and review

What We Offer

  • Base salary range: $175,000–$225,000 per year. Offers will be positioned within the range based on experience and qualifications.

  • Competitive health and welfare benefits

  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match

  • Flexible vacation policy

  • Home office setup reimbursement

  • Access to mental health support
