Job Description

• The Personalization team at Spotify enhances user experience by developing features like Blend and Discover Weekly.

• The team focuses on machine learning, music understanding, and user experience to generate music sessions and conversational playlist generation.

• Collaborates with product, design, user research, data science, and engineering to build personalized features for millions of users.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, evaluate, and ship LLM-based solutions for adaptive listening experiences.

• Develop prompted playlist experiences focusing on music fulfillment and session generation.

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to prototype and deploy ML approaches at a global scale.

• Build systems connecting artists and fans in personalized ways.

• Contribute to scalable ML systems serving hundreds of millions of users.

• Promote best practices in ML system design, testing, evaluation, and deployment.

• Actively contribute to a community of machine learning practitioners.

Requirements/Skills/Qualifications

• Experienced in machine learning, natural language processing, and generative AI.

• Comfortable applying theory to build production-ready applications.

• Hands-on experience with end-to-end ML systems at scale.

• Familiar with LLM-based systems and techniques like reinforcement fine-tuning.

• Experience designing modular ML architectures and writing technical specifications.

• Proficient with large-scale distributed data processing tools (e.g., Apache Beam, Apache Spark).

• Experience with cloud platforms like GCP or AWS.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary range: $184,050

• $262,928 plus equity.
