
Senior Software Engineer, Android, ChromeOS
Job description
Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

5 years of experience with software development and consumer facing products.

2 years of experience with mobile app development and Android application architecture.

Experience with software coding in Java or Kotlin.
Preferred qualifications:
-
Master's degree or PhD in a related technical field.

Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wi-Fi Direct, mDNS, or related device discovery frameworks.

Experience with peer-to-peer device connectivity, network protocols, or connected devices.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $174000 - $252000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

Build magical, multi-device experiences that make Android the ecosystem of choice for premium users.

Design and develop the core synchronization frameworks that allow phones, tablets, and laptops to connect seamlessly.

Focus on areas like device connectivity, sharing, and task continuity, your work will empower users to easily cast apps, hand off tasks, and share files across their devices.

Manage complex technical challenges involving peer-to-peer connectivity, cross-device APIs, and deep Android platform integrations.
