Senior UI/UX Frontend Engineer (Angular)

Job Overview

Alethia Software is looking for a Senior UI/UX Frontend Engineer with deep Angular experience to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. This is a role for someone ready to own the front end: setting standards, shaping UX decisions, and mentoring earlier-career engineers on a collaborative, on-site team. This role is on-site 3-4 days per week, and candidates must currently live locally in the Colorado Springs area. This position is contingent on contract award.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using Angular

Own front-end architecture decisions and set component and coding standards for the team

Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through pairing, code review, and technical guidance

Collaborate with designers and backend engineers to translate wireframes and user needs into functional UI components

Lead UX research, prototyping, and usability improvements

Write clean, maintainable code and hold a high bar in code reviews

Use AI coding tools to accelerate development while still being able to write, debug, and reason through code independently

Requirements

7+ years of experience working with Angular

Deep command of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript

Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and leading front-end technical decisions

Comfortable and proficient using AI tools (e.g. Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to assist with coding, but must also be able to code effectively without relying on AI

Must be a U.S. citizen and hold an active Secret security clearance

Must reside locally in the Colorado Springs, CO area and be able to work on-site 3-4 days per week

Pay: $135,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
