Job Description:

We’re looking for a Senior Web Developer experienced in Next.js, React and Headless WordPress development. You will build and maintain high-quality, performant, and visually engaging websites that leverage modern JavaScript frameworks with WordPress as a headless CMS.

This role involves translating complex designs into efficient front-end code while integrating dynamic content via GraphQL or REST APIs. You’ll work closely with designers, project managers, and backend developers, taking ownership of your projects from technical planning to deployment.

If you have strong proficiency in React, Next.js, and WordPress (particularly WPGraphQL and ACF), and are passionate about performance, scalability, and clean code — we’d love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Next.js / React-based frontends connected to WordPress headless backends.

• Implement data fetching using WPGraphQL, REST API, and other integrations.

• Translate Figma designs and UX concepts into high-quality, responsive, and accessible websites.

• Optimise websites for performance, scalability, SEO, and cross-browser compatibility.

• Conduct code reviews, debugging, and performance testing.

• Manage Git-based version control and participate in collaborative development workflows

• Collaborate with designers, PMs, and backend developers to ensure smooth delivery.

• Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute ideas for improving tools and processes.

• Mentor junior developers and uphold high technical standards in projects.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• 4+ years of professional experience in front-end or full-stack development (preferably in an agency or fast-paced environment).

• Proven experience building React / Next.js projects integrated with Headless WordPress backends.

• Strong understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6+), React hooks, and Next.js architecture.

• Familiarity with WPGraphQL, ACF, and REST API integration.

• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, SASS/SCSS, and responsive layout best practices.

• Solid grasp of Git workflows (branches, merges, pull requests).

• Understanding of website optimisation for speed and SEO.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred / Bonus Skills:

• Experience with TypeScript, Material UI, Apollo GraphQL, or React Spring.

• Familiarity with CPanel, DNS, or basic server management.

• Experience in CI/CD, deployment pipelines, or hosting configuration.

• Knowledge of Vue.js or other modern JS frameworks.

• Open-source contributions or participation in developer communities.
