JOB SUMMARY

The role is responsible for documenting and implementing solutions, adhering to development best practices. The Software Engineer will be responsible for finding solutions for identified business needs, architecting, designing, and developing solutions, and ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Implement and document solutions to extend and maintain existing services and build out new features across the full application stack

  • Adhere to development best practices to ensure maintainable and scalable codeParticipate in the development process from definition to deployment

  • Review the design and code of fellow team members to ensure code follows documented standards and best practices

  • Create and maintain RESTful web services using an object-oriented programming language such as Java, Python, C#, C++, or other similar languages

  • Write and maintain unit tests using industry standard testing frameworks such as J-Unit, Mockito, Jest, etc.

  • Translate designs and wireframes into full stack code

  • Provide advanced troubleshooting with on-prem and cloud based phones and UC software

  • Consult with team members to address issues and determine the best solution for all involved

  • Initiate, coordinate, review, and enforce IT systems, policies, and procedures

  • Continually implement process improvements

  • Develop AI-assisted data processing and validation workflows that transform unstructured and semi-structured information into structured data, validate AI-generated results against business rules and existing database records, and support automated record creation or updates

  • Design and implement Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Large Language Model (LLM) capabilities within enterprise applications to automate document processing, information extraction, and business workflows

  • Collaborate with business and research teams to identify opportunities for applying AI-driven solutions, define data requirements, and improve the accuracy and efficiency of existing operational processes

  • Travel to other offices and datacenter’s as necessary

OTHER FUNCTIONS

  • Add and remove assets from asset tracking system as needed

  • Perform other duties or projects as requested

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree required

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 8+ years’ relevant

  • 3+ years’ experience managing multiple strategic initiatives and/or projects

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

  • Proficient at using various developer tools to collaborate with a software team (IDEs, cloud services, package managers, and version control software)

  • High-level understanding of end-to-end systems (Frontend, Backend, Database, Cloud)

  • Proficient knowledge of component reusability and lifecycle in a front-end context

  • Proficient knowledge of the Controller-Service-Repository design pattern and RESTful API best practices

  • Willingness and ability to learn new technologies through education when required and demonstration of professional development

  • Proficient knowledge of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis)

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills

  • Proficient knowledge of building cloud-scale infrastructure components

  • Proficient knowledge of creating mockups to be implemented as part of solutions

  • Proficient knowledge of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

SKILLS AND ABILITY

  • Professional and customer-service oriented with the ability to interface with employees, vendors, and management

  • Professional telephone etiquette with excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to evaluate and apply Large Language Models, natural language processing, prompt engineering, machine learning, and data engineering techniques to automate real estate research and data ingestion processes involving information received from multiple sources and formats

  • Ability multi-task and utilize resources to execute tasks within a deadline-oriented environment

  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload in order to meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines

  • Commitment to continuous process improvement, initiatives, and ability to solve problems creatively

  • Ability to build relationships and work cross functionally

  • Ability to learn basic SQL and relational database knowledge

  • Ability to evolve system architecture to improve development efficiency

  • Ability to function in a team environment with demonstrated ability in problem solving

  • Ability to speak, write, read, and understand English

  • Ability to travel: must have working and insured car: must have valid driver's license and be insurable through our vendor. Some airplane travel required as well

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This is a standard office environment with standard office noise like talking, office equipment, etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee must frequently sit and use a computer for long periods of time. Specific vision abilities are required to do this job including close vision. This position is sometimes active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing in server rooms and datacenters with high levels of cooling and noise. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 20 pounds and sometimes more than 20 pounds and rarely over 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities are required to do this job including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must sometimes drive an automobile.
