NOTICE OF JOB OPPORTUNITY

TITLE: Software Engineer

Apply strong software engineering principles to design and develop scalable, reliable, and easy-to-use end-to-end systems for data-driven workflows. Build and maintain backend infrastructure to support large-scale computation, deployment, and evaluation in the cloud, as well as efficient client side performance on mobile devices. Develop and maintain data management systems for scalable data collection, processing, and evaluation. Design, implement, and optimize backend services, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure, including improvements to CI/CD pipelines. Enhance deployment velocity and ensure high availability across globally distributed systems. Manage data pipelines and placement in edge locations to support computing services. Apply automation and operational expertise to build, deploy, and maintain production systems in collaboration with product and engineering teams.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor of Science or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field plus two (2) years of experience in Software Engineering or closely related experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Knowledge and/or experience in:

• Experience with building and maintaining scalable backend services and distributed systems to support global infrastructure.

• Experience with developing and improving software features and service performance for large-scale production systems.

• Experience with enhancing service deployment velocity and ensuring availability across globally distributed cache servers.

• Experience with maintaining data pipelines and managing data placement in distributed edge locations to support computing services.

• Automation and operational expertise to build, deploy, and maintain production systems.

• Programming languages: Java, Python, C++, Go.

OTHER: Job Site: Snap Inc., 110 110th Ave NE, Suite 700, Bellevue, WA 98004. *Hybrid work permitted – Snap practices a “default together” approach and expects our team members to work in the Bellevue, WA office at least 80% of the time (an average of 4 days per week). 40 hours/week. Base salary: $157,000 - $235,000 per year. This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs. Our Benefits: https://careers.snap.com/benefits.
