Summary

JD's for NCPDP program

SR QA Engineer:

• Execute functional, regression, integration, and parallel testing for F6 transaction formats, supporting quality delivery of PBM and Medicaid pharmacy solutions.

• Design and execute test cases in alignment with the overall test strategy, ensuring coverage meets federal compliance timelines and state Medicaid regulations.

• Validate NCPDP F6 transaction routing, data crosswalks, expanded product identifiers, and telephony compliance, including the D.0 to F6 transition across 271 Eligibility Response and Formulary and Benefit outbound extracts.

• Perform functional testing across the pharmacy claim lifecycle, including claims adjudication, drug pricing, formulary and benefit design, prior authorization, DUR, COB, and rebate processing.

• Write, execute, and maintain SQL queries for backend data validation and reconciliation across pharmacy claims, eligibility, and formulary data.

• Log, track, and triage defects in ALM/JIRA, coordinating with business SMEs, PBMs, developers, and conversion teams to drive timely resolution.

• Support parallel run validation between legacy NCPDP formats and F6-compliant transactions, documenting discrepancies and results.

• Provide status updates and testing metrics to the Test Manager, flagging risks and blockers as they arise.

Required Qualification:

• 5–7 years of software testing experience.

• Strong PBM or Medicaid pharmacy experience, with direct exposure to NCPDP standards transitions (D.0, F2, or F6).

• Experience with large-scale DDI or MMIS modernization programs is a plus.

• Expertise in: NCPDP transaction sets, Claims adjudication, Prior Authorization, Formulary management, Drug Rebate processing, Eligibility (270/271) processing, Pharmacy financial validation.

• Proficiency in SQL for data validation.

• Experience using ALM/JIRA for test case management and defect tracking.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work across cross-functional and vendor teams.
