Job description
Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

8 years of experience in software development.
-
5 years of experience leading ML design and optimizing ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).

5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
-
2 years of experience with GenAI techniques (e.g., LLMs, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models) or with GenAI-related concepts (language modeling, computer vision).

Experience in building Generative AI applications, Agentic workflows and GenAI quality evaluation.
Preferred qualifications:
-
Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
-
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.

3 years of experience working in an organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.

Experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g., TensorFlow), artificial intelligence, deep learning, natural language processing or other ML disciplines.

The Documents team mission is to differentiate the Docs editor and connect our users through effective and simple tools for collaboration and productivity. Our strategy is to build new ways of collaborating within Docs and across Google Workspace powered by Generative AI. We will continue to work on ways to help users more efficiently write high-quality, productive documents using assistive technologies.
This role involves building full stack Generative AI features for Google Docs. This includes Gen AI quality iterations and evaluations to build AI features in Google Docs.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $207000 - $300000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Conduct evaluations and assessments for Generative AI models to build high quality AI features in Docs and Editors.

Develop machine learning systems and full stack client-server features.
