Qualifications*:*

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field

  • Includes required upper level accounting credits to sit for the CPA exam

  • Prior experience in private or public accounting a plus but not required

Role and Responsibilities:

Other duties may be assigned, as necessary.

  • Work on assigned segments of accounting or tax engagements

  • Assume substantial responsibility (under supervision) for small accounting engagements involving individual or small business entities.

  • Complete individual tax returns, trial balance preparation, payroll reporting, simple tax returns, and additional related tasks as assigned

  • Stay up to day on firm policies, procedures and the AICPA and state CPA societies' rules, regulations and Code of Ethics.

  • Regularly read and be familiar with changes in tax laws, including significant changes in the internal revenue code and other proposed developments.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION R****EQUIREMENTS

Required

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting

Preferred

  • Accounting work experience in public or private sector

  • Be in the process of passing the CPA exam

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills

  • Self-directed; able to work with minimal supervision

  • Management and prioritization of multiple and competing tasks and deadlines

  • Detail-oriented and organized

  • Proactive and effective communicator

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Hours: Monday- Friday, 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM. Overtime requirements may apply
