Job description
About Us
First Class is the largest short-term rental management company in the Middle East. We manage more than 700 holiday homes in Dubai for private and institutional owners, and our team has over 160 people. We run the full value chain in-house, from fit-out and housekeeping to guest experience and owner reporting.
The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Accountant to look after day-to-day finance work for our holiday home portfolio. You’ll make sure owners and staff are paid correctly and on time, that our accounts reconcile, and that every number in our system is accurate and backed by documents.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Payments: Prepare and process payments to property owners, suppliers and service providers, and check that each one has the right approvals and supporting documents.
-
Payroll: Prepare and run monthly payroll for all staff through the UAE Wage Protection System (WPS). This includes allowances, overtime, deductions, unpaid leave, new joiners and leavers. Calculate leave salary and end-of-service gratuity, and keep payroll records accurate and confidential.
-
Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts, booking channel payouts (Airbnb, Booking.com, etc.), owner accounts and supplier accounts. Investigate and resolve any differences.
-
System entries: Record all transactions accurately and on time in our accounting and property management systems, including revenue, expenses, commissions and owner charges.
-
Owner statements: Prepare and send monthly Statements of Account (SOA) to property owners. Each statement shows bookings, revenue, expenses and net payout.
-
Client communication: Answer owners’ questions about their statements, payments and charges by email, clearly, professionally and quickly.
-
Internal coordination: Work with HR, Operations, Guest Experience, Maintenance and Business Development to collect invoices, confirm charges and attendance, and close each month on time.
-
Records: Keep financial and payroll records and supporting documents organised and ready for audit, including for VAT purposes.
Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
-
At least 2–3 years of accounting experience. Experience with holiday homes, property management or hospitality is a strong plus.
-
Hands-on experience with bank and account reconciliations
-
Experience running payroll through WPS, with working knowledge of UAE Labour Law on leave, overtime and gratuity
-
Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
-
Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables)
-
Experience with accounting software (e.g. Zoho, QuickBooks, Xero or similar)
-
Good written and spoken English and a professional email style
-
Able to work on your own, prioritise and meet monthly deadlines
-
Working knowledge of UAE VAT is a plus
What We Offer:
-
Competitive salary plus UAE benefits (visa, medical insurance, annual leave)
-
A fast-growing company with international expansion plans
-
A dynamic, multicultural team
Pay: AED5,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
