accountant/ barista

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, maintaining accurate accounting records, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. As our business operates on a custom-built ERP system, the successful candidate must be comfortable working with ERP software and have strong accounting knowledge across all accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Record, verify, and reconcile financial transactions.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

• Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and petty cash transactions.

• Maintain accurate general ledger records.

• Prepare and submit VAT and other statutory financial reports as required.

• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit activities.

• Monitor inventory costs, stock movements, and cost control within the coffee shop operations.

• Analyse financial data and provide recommendations to management.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

• Work extensively with the company's in-house ERP system to process, track, and report financial information.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality, retail, food & beverage, or coffee shop industry.

• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including:

• General Ledger (GL)

• Accounts Payable (AP)

• Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Bank Reconciliation

• Financial Reporting

• Cost Accounting

• Budgeting and Forecasting

• VAT and Tax Compliance

• Experience working with ERP systems is required.

• Ability to learn and effectively use the company's custom ERP system.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.

• Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional accounting certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.

• Experience in coffee shops, restaurants, or retail businesses.

• Knowledge of inventory management and cost control processes.

Pay: QAR2,000.00 - QAR3,000.00 per month
