NOTE: This role is hybrid and requires 3 days onsite in our Walnut Creek, CA office.
JOB SUMMARY
Our Accountant will be responsible for the following essential functions.
** ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
** General Ledger (GL) Maintenance**
- Independently manages the posting and verification of financial data, leading trial balance reviews and continuous close readiness while resolving diverse, complex issues.
** System Oversight**
- Oversees daily automated transaction flows, adapting existing approaches to resolve sophisticated exceptions and data integrity issues within the Workday ERP.
** Month-End Execution**
- Drives full-cycle month-end closing activities, independently devising solutions and completing complex journal entries, accruals, and comprehensive bank reconciliations.
** Asset Management**
- Fully maintains the fixed asset ledger, using judgment to evaluate and execute depreciation and disposal strategies in strict accordance with GAAP.
** Audit Support**
- Evaluates financial documents based on limited precedent, ensuring comprehensive readiness, accuracy, and strategic compliance for internal and external audit reviews.
** Collaboration**
- Enhances relationships and networks with senior partners, adapting communication styles to advise and persuade others on difficult financial reconciliation matters.
** KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES**

Complete knowledge and full understanding of GAAP, accounting principles, and specialized practices within the discipline.

Advanced proficiency in Workday ERP, complex variance analysis, and sophisticated problem-solving tools.

Evaluates, interprets, and uses independent judgment to select the right course of action for diverse scope problems.
** EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES / CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES**
** Minimum Qualifications**

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related Business field

Minimum of 5 years of related experience or 3 years and a Master’s degree, or 9 years of related experience without a Bachelor’s degree
** Preferred Qualifications**
- Active CPA license or significant progress toward certification is preferred.
