Job description

New Home Care Pty Ltd is a growing community care provider based in Sydney, delivering Support at Home, aged care and community support services to culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

As our organisation continues to expand, we are looking for a motivated, organised and detail-focused Accountant to join our finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on accounting, financial reporting and reconciliation work and would like to develop their career within the growing aged care and healthcare sector.

Korean language skills will be highly regarded, particularly given our strong engagement with Korean-speaking clients, staff and community networks.

About the Role

You will support the day-to-day financial operations of the organisation and work closely with management and the broader finance team.

Key responsibilities include:

· Managing day-to-day accounting and finance transactions

· Preparing manual journal entries and financial reconciliations

· Completing bank, supplier and client account reconciliations

· Supporting month-end reporting and financial reporting

· Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management

· Supporting Quarterly Financial Reporting (QFR)

· Managing client co-contributions, invoicing and payment reconciliation

· Monitoring Support at Home funding, claims and client contributions

· Assisting with BAS, GST and other compliance requirements

· Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation

· Providing financial analysis and reports to management

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

· A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline

· Previous accounting experience in Australia

· Strong reconciliation and financial reporting experience

· Strong Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting

· Good understanding of Australian accounting and compliance requirements

· Experience with Xero, MYOB or similar accounting software

· Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

· Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team

· Good communication and interpersonal skills

CPA or CA qualification, or progress towards CPA/CA, will be highly regarded.

Korean-Speaking Candidates Highly Regarded

As New Home Care works extensively with culturally and linguistically diverse communities, the ability to communicate in Korean is highly regarded.

Korean-speaking applicants with strong accounting experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Mandarin language skills will also be viewed favourably.

Aged Care Experience

Previous experience in any of the following areas will be highly regarded:

· Aged care

· Support at Home

· Healthcare

· NDIS or community services

· QFR reporting

· Government-funded service programs

· Client contribution and claiming processes

However, aged care experience is not essential if you have strong accounting fundamentals and are willing to learn.
