Job description

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Dubai

ABOUT THE ROLE

The accountant will be responsible for managing and coordinating a range of finance-related operational and administrative activities that support the Accounting and Finance function. The role aims to centralize key processes currently managed across different team members, ensuring efficiency, consistency, proper controls, and business continuity. The successful candidate will work closely with Accounting, Operations, and external stakeholders to support day-to-day financial administration while allowing the accounting team to remain focused on core accounting, reporting, compliance, and control activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Credit Card Management:

  • Coordinate the administration of all corporate credit cards.

  • Monitor card issuance, cancellation, and employee compliance with company policies.

  • Collect supporting documentation and ensure timely submission of expenses.

  • Prepare payment requests and follow up on outstanding balances.

  • Perform monthly reconciliation of corporate credit card transactions.

Travel & Entertainment (T&E) Administration:

  • Review and coordinate employee travel and entertainment expense submissions.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and approval workflows.

  • Follow up with employees regarding missing documentation or discrepancies.

  • Support reporting and analysis of T&E expenses.

Petty Cash Management:

  • Maintain and control petty cash funds.

  • Process petty cash reimbursements and ensure adequate supporting documentation.

  • Perform periodic reconciliations and maintain accurate records.

Financial Control & Reporting Support

  • Assist the accounting team with reconciliations and operational reporting when required.

  • Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation for audit purposes.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.

  • Provide backup support across finance operational activities during absences or peak periods.

PROFILE & COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a multinational environment.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

  • Excellent communication skills for interdepartmental coordination.
