The AR Accountant will support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, tax compliance, and local statutory requirements for Green SM’s operations in the US market. This role is suitable for a hands-on accounting professional with solid technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment. The position will work closely with local management, HQ finance team, external auditors, tax advisors, and service providers
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Reporting

Handle daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and general ledger entries

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities

Prepare accounting records and supporting documents in accordance with IFRS and local accounting requirements

Assist in preparing financial reports, management reports, and statutory reports

Ensure accounting data is accurate, complete, and properly maintained
Tax & Compliance

Support the preparation and submission of VAT, corporate tax, and other local tax filings

Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, accounting standards, and statutory reporting requirements

Coordinate with external tax advisors, auditors, and local authorities when required

Maintain proper documentation for audit, tax, and compliance purposes
Financial Controls & Processes

Follow and help improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls

Review financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance

Support internal control activities and risk management processes

Identify process gaps and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
System & Process Support

Support the implementation and improvement of accounting systems, reporting tools, and digital finance workflows

Maintain accurate accounting data in financial systems

Assist with ad-hoc finance and accounting tasks as required
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
-
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or financial reporting

Experience in SME, startup, manufacturing, FMCG, energy, mobility, or similar industries is preferred
-
Good knowledge of IFRS and local accounting/tax regulations

Experience with VAT, statutory reporting, and audit support

Proficient in Excel and accounting systems

Detail-oriented, careful, and well-organized

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Hands-on, proactive, and adaptable mindset

Able to work independently and coordinate with local and international teams
