Accounting Intern 2027

STgenetics is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Interns to join our team in Navasota, Texas for Summer 2027. This internship provides an opportunity for a college student to gain hands-on accounting and finance experience within a global agricultural biotechnology organization.

The Accounting Intern will work alongside members of the Accounting and Finance team and gain exposure to a variety of accounting functions, financial processes, and business operations. The intern will assist with day-to-day accounting activities, participate in special projects, and develop practical skills that complement their academic coursework.

This position is ideal for a student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Agribusiness, or a related business field who is interested in building real-world experience in a professional accounting environment.

The Summer 2027 Accounting Internship offers students the opportunity to contribute to a growing global organization while gaining meaningful professional experience in accounting and finance.

  RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the Accounting team with day-to-day accounting and financial activities.

Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including reviewing documentation, organizing records, and assisting with reconciliations.

Assist with general ledger account reconciliations and other month-end accounting activities.

Help prepare, organize, and analyze financial data and reports.

Assist with reviewing transactions and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.

Support expense reporting, invoice processing, and other accounting-related activities as assigned.

Assist with maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.

Work with Microsoft Excel and other financial systems to organize, analyze, and report accounting information.

Participate in accounting and finance projects designed to improve processes, reporting, and data accuracy.

Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, and other departments to gain an understanding of how financial information supports business operations.

Assist with audit preparation and documentation as needed.

Complete special projects and financial analyses based on departmental needs.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

  QUALIFICATIONS

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Agribusiness, Business, or a related field.

Completion of introductory accounting coursework preferred.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
