Job description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting activities of our U.S. operations. This position will be responsible for entering and maintaining accounting records in the BIP/ERP system, supporting month-end and year-end closing, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accurate financial information for reporting under both U.S. and Chinese accounting requirements.
The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, experience with ERP systems, and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Chinese. The position will also work closely with accounting, business, IT, and ERP project teams in both the U.S. and China.
Key Responsibilities

Enter and maintain accounting transactions and journal entries in the BIP/ERP system, ensuring timely and accurate financial records.

Prepare and record journal entries for month-end and year-end closing.

Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.

Prepare financial reports, schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.

Support financial reporting and reconciliation requirements under applicable U.S. GAAP and Chinese/PRC accounting standards and reporting requirements.

Assist with account reconciliations, including bank accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, intercompany accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.

Support monthly budget-to-actual and variance analysis to identify trends, risks, unusual transactions, and opportunities for improvement.

Collaborate with accounting and business teams to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial data.

Support internal and external audits by preparing requested schedules, reports, supporting documents, and transaction records.

Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations between U.S. and China-based entities.

Assist in developing and maintaining accounting procedures, documentation, and internal controls.

Communicate with colleagues and management in both the U.S. and China regarding accounting transactions, reporting requirements, and financial information.

Perform other accounting and financial support activities as assigned.
Qualifications

Associate degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

2โ5 years of accounting or financial reporting experience preferred.

Solid understanding of general accounting principles, journal entries, account reconciliation, and financial closing processes.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to work with financial data and reports.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet reporting deadlines.

Ability to work effectively with accounting, operations, IT, and other cross-functional teams.

Professional proficiency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin), including written and verbal communication, is strongly preferred.

Experience with manufacturing, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or CDMO businesses is a plus.
Salary range: $25-$32 per hour
