We are seeking a team-oriented, detail-driven Accounts Payable Specialist to join our headquarters accounting department in Canby, Oregon. Role Overview
Working under the direct supervision of the Accounts Payable Manager, the Accounts Payable Specialist plays an active role in maintaining smooth invoice workflow, job cost coding, and vendor disbursement operations. Operating in a collaborative team environment, you will manage digital invoice routing, credit card statement reconciliations, per diem processing, and audit preparation.
Key Responsibilities

Invoice Workflow & Coding: Analyze, code, and process vendor invoices, expense reports, and check requests using correct job cost and general ledger (GL) coding.

Systems Integration & Approvals: Enter AP documentation into TimberScan for workflow routing and upload approved invoices into Timberline (Sage) for payment processing.

Per Diem & Credit Cards: Prepare and enter weekly per diem payments and process monthly corporate credit card statements accurately.

Audit & Reconciliation Support: Assist in resolving outstanding check issues and compiling documentation for annual external audits.

Departmental Compliance: Follow established Accounts Payable policies and procedures, efficiently meeting daily and monthly accounting deadlines.
Qualifications & Requirements

Experience Level: 2+ years of recent Accounts Payable, professional office administrative, or clerical accounting experience.

Software & Technical Proficiency: Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook; prior experience or familiarity with TimberScan/Timberline (Sage) is a plus.

Numerical & Filing Aptitude: Strong alpha and numeric data entry skills with proven accuracy in handling financial records.

Core Competencies: High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, systematic problem-solving approach, and an eagerness to learn new systems.

Location & Dependability: Must reside within a reasonable driving distance of our Canby, OR headquarters or be willing to relocate. Reliable, punctual attendance and strong communication skills required.
