Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) is undertaking a significant transformation of healthcare services across the Diggory Division, with HMP & YOI Feltham B playing a key role in delivering a modern, responsive, and patient-centred model of care. As part of this transformation, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to provide expert clinical leadership and support the delivery of high-quality healthcare services within a dynamic custodial environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a period of significant service transformation and to help shape the future delivery of healthcare within HMP & YOI Feltham B, ensuring that patients receive equitable, compassionate, and high-quality care in line with CNWL's values and strategic objectives.
The ANP will work as an autonomous advanced practitioner, delivering comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, and management of patients with complex physical health needs. The post holder will be instrumental in providing same-day urgent and unscheduled care, improving timely access to healthcare, and supporting the development of an integrated healthcare model that meets the diverse needs of the prison population.
Working closely with GPs, nurses, allied health professionals, prison staff, and external partners, the ANP will contribute to the ongoing transformation of healthcare services at Feltham B, helping to reduce health inequalities and improve clinical outcomes for children and young people within the secure estate. The role will be central to strengthening service resilience, reducing reliance on temporary staffing arrangements, and ensuring that healthcare provision remains safe, effective, and responsive to patient need.
As a senior clinician, the ANP will provide visible clinical leadership across the service, supporting clinical governance, patient safety, quality improvement, and service development initiatives. The post holder will also play a vital role in mentoring, supervising, and developing nursing colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous learning, professional excellence, and innovation.
