AI & Backend Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a full-stack engineering role embedded across the product and AI teams at an early-stage B2B AI customer support SaaS company. You will own end-to-end features, shape AI-powered capabilities, and help scale the architectures that drive intelligent support agents. It is a high-impact position where your work directly pushes the boundaries of what current-generation AI systems can do for real users.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design and implement full-stack product features from concept through production.

• Build and enhance AI features, including data pipelines and model integrations.

• Collaborate with the team to plan, design, and launch new product capabilities.

• Help make internal workflows AI-native by integrating AI tooling into everyday processes.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 1 to 4 years of experience in backend or AI engineering; strong new-grad candidates are welcome.

• Proven track record shipping backend systems or AI features to production.

• Hands-on experience integrating with OpenAI models and prompt engineering.

• Experience designing end-to-end architectures and building AI-powered data or model pipelines.

• Proficiency with Next.js, React, and TypeScript for full-stack development.

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and/or Firestore (GCP) for data storage.

• Experience deploying and operating applications with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Active user of AI coding agents such as Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor, with concrete ideas or learnings on how to improve AI coding agent setups.

• Personal hobby projects involving LLMs or related AI topics, showing genuine curiosity in the space.

• Background at companies in enterprise software, customer support tooling, or AI SaaS is a strong plus.

LOCATION

On-site, 5 days per week in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. Visa sponsorship is available.
