Role Description

The Enterprise System AI Engineer contract role focuses on designing, developing, and integrating AI solutions into enterprise systems to enhance performance, scalability, and automation. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and optimizing machine learning models, implementing neural network architectures, and applying pattern recognition techniques to large-scale data sets. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI components into existing software systems, support natural language processing (NLP) features, and ensure robust, maintainable code through best practices in software development. This is a hybrid role based in Irvine, CA, with a mix of on-site collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility. The position also involves documenting system designs, monitoring model performance in production, and contributing to continuous improvement of AI-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science with experience in Software Development for enterprise-scale systems.

• Hands-on expertise in Neural Networks and Pattern Recognition for designing and training machine learning models.

• Practical experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) for building and integrating language-based features into applications.

• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI and ML (such as Python, Java, or C++), and familiarity with relevant frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).

• Experience working with cloud or distributed computing environments and modern software development practices (CI/CD, version control, testing).

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Ability to collaborate in a hybrid work environment, communicate complex technical concepts clearly, and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

• Background in telecommunications, semiconductors, or large-scale networked systems is a plus, as is prior experience in enterprise AI integration.
