AI Engineer

Role Description & Responsibilities

We are building next-generation AI agents that interact with CAD software to automate and optimize complex engineering workflows. You will design, develop, and deploy AI agents that can understand engineering instructions, manipulate SolidWorks models programmatically, and integrate into design pipelines. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of AI, CAD automation, and software engineering, directly impacting how engineers design and model products. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop AI agents capable of interacting with SolidWorks via APIs.

• Build multi-step reasoning workflows where AI agents parse instructions, plan tasks, and execute CAD operations.

• Integrate AI agents with client-server architectures using WebSocket, REST, or other communication protocols.

• Implement automated of sketches, and 3D model generation.

• Debug and optimize AI agent workflows, ensuring robust and accurate outputs.

• Evaluate agent performance, tune prompts, and reduce hallucinations in structured engineering tasks.

• Collaborate with mechanical engineers, UI/UX developers, and product definition to create AI agentic workflows and implement them.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering, IT, or a related Engineering stream.

• 2–5 years of experience in C#, C++, Python, AI technologies.

Background:

• Solid understanding of software engineering principles and object-oriented programming

• Familiarity with CAD, visualization, simulation, or content creation applications is beneficial

• Interest or experience in AI/ML technologies related to graphics, rendering, image generation, or workflow automation is a plus

Programming Languages:

• C# • C/C++

• Python

• Knowledge of other scripting languages is a plus AI

Technologies:

• AI / ML Foundations - Strong understanding of:

  • LLMs (prompting, fine-tuning, evaluation)

  • Embeddings, vector search (RAG systems)

  • Agent frameworks (multi-step reasoning, tool use)

• Experience with:

  • LangChain or LlamaIndex

  • OpenAI / Gemini / Claude APIs

Tools:

• Visual Studio

• Git

• Azure DevOps

• Jira

• Cursor, VS Code, Claude, or other AI coding development environments
