Position Overview

We are seeking an AI/Machine Learning Engineer Intern II to help develop innovative AI and machine learning solutions that support enterprise workflows and operational processes. This role will contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of AI-powered applications, proof-of-concept initiatives, and scalable machine learning solutions.

The ideal candidate is passionate about artificial intelligence, eager to expand their technical skills, and excited to work with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities

AI Solution Development

• Gather and document AI solution requirements from business stakeholders.

• Develop AI proof-of-concepts and transition successful prototypes into production-ready solutions.

• Design and implement scalable AI and machine learning pipelines.

• Train, fine-tune, evaluate, and validate machine learning models for performance and reliability.

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to support AI initiatives.

• Conduct testing and quality assurance activities to ensure solution effectiveness and accuracy.

• Ensure adherence to organizational security, compliance, and governance standards.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and automation developers.

• Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions and support solution design discussions.

• Communicate project status, risks, challenges, and accomplishments to leadership and stakeholders.

Delivery & Governance

• Follow established IT governance, security, and audit requirements.

• Support the creation and reuse of standardized AI development practices and components.

• Participate in post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement efforts.

Team Support

• Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, software developers, and infrastructure teams.

• Provide input on AI best practices and assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving.

• Contribute to knowledge sharing and team learning initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

Python

• Experience writing and debugging Python code through coursework, internships, personal projects, or professional experience.

Machine Learning Fundamentals

• Exposure to building and training machine learning models using frameworks such as Scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.

Cloud Platforms

• Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider, including AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.

Version Control

• Experience using Git and GitHub for collaborative software development.

Databases

• Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.

Communication & Problem Solving

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated willingness to learn production engineering practices, including Docker, CI/CD, and cloud deployment.

Command Line Tools

• Basic proficiency using terminal or command-line environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Docker or containerization concepts through coursework, internships, or personal projects.

• Experience with computer vision or applied machine learning projects using tools such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or OpenCV.

• Familiarity with Bash or PowerShell scripting.

• Exposure to cloud AI services such as Azure AI, AWS SageMaker, or Google Vertex AI.

• Knowledge of NoSQL or vector databases.

• Portfolio of academic, capstone, hackathon, open-source, or personal machine learning projects.

• Familiarity with cloud-based CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

• Strong interest in applied AI/ML research and emerging technologies.

• Exposure to data pipelines, streaming technologies, or event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka).
