JOB SUMMARY

As DoW AI Product Engineer, you will design, build, integrate, and support Thoriva AI products for Department of War mission environments independently developing product features, supporting customer demonstrations, integrating AI capabilities, and contributing to secure product delivery.

You will work across product, engineering, and customer-facing teams, and contribute to prototypes, production builds, and technical reviews that move opportunities from concept to funded program.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop AI-enabled software features for Thoriva AI products.

· Integrate models, APIs, data sources, workflows, and user interfaces into mission applications.

· Support cloud, edge, and secure deployment environments.

· Build prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and production-ready product components.

· Participate in customer demonstrations and technical reviews.

· Support testing, troubleshooting, documentation, sustainment, and proposal technical inputs.

· Communicate technical tradeoffs and implementation status to engineering leads and product teams.

· Apply secure software development practices appropriate for DoW mission environments.

Required Qualifications

· Experience in software engineering, AI/ML engineering, data engineering, cloud engineering, systems integration, or secure product development.

· Experience developing applications, APIs, data services, or AI-enabled tools.

· Programming experience in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Go, or comparable language.

· Familiarity with cloud platforms, containers, databases, APIs, and modern software delivery practices.

· Ability to work across product, engineering, and customer-facing teams.

· Ability to independently execute assigned engineering tasks and communicate technical tradeoffs.

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

· Active Secret or Top Secret clearance.

· Experience supporting DoD, federal, aerospace, defense, intelligence, or mission technology programs.

· Familiarity with LLMs, agentic AI, RAG, computer vision, autonomy, edge computing, mission planning systems, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitLab, GitHub Actions, RMF, ATO, or cATO.

· Experience with SBIR/STTR, OTA, or prototype program development cycles.
