Job Overview

The Josephs Room The Josephs Room is a creative-thinking and innovation company focused on helping businesses operate smarter through artificial intelligence, automation, integrations, and innovative technology. We believe technology should do more than add another system to a business. It should solve problems, eliminate unnecessary manual work, connect information, improve decision-making, and give people back valuable time.We are building The Josephs Room from the ground up, and we are looking for an exceptional technical builder to become one of the foundational members of our company. The OpportunityWe are seeking an AI Automation Engineer who can take real-world business problems and turn them into working technology. This is not simply a project-management position, IT support role, or prompt-engineering position. We need a builder, problem solver, and creative thinker. The ideal candidate can sit with a business owner or department leader, understand how their operation currently works, identify inefficiencies, design a better process, and then build the AI, automation, integrations, and technology necessary to make that process work. You should be equally excited about discovering a business problem and building the solution. What You'll DoYou will:Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for AI and automation.Design and build AI-powered workflows, agents, assistants, and business systems.Connect CRMs, databases, communication platforms, payment systems, APIs, and third-party applications.Build automations using platforms such as n8n, Make, Zapier, Microsoft Power Automate, or similar technologies.Work with APIs, webhooks, JSON, databases, authentication, and system integrations.Develop solutions using Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar programming languages.Work with leading AI/LLM platforms and APIs.Create AI systems capable of analyzing information, routing requests, generating responses, retrieving knowledge, and assisting with business decisions.Identify opportunities to eliminate repetitive manual tasks.Prototype new ideas quickly and turn successful prototypes into reliable production systems.Develop appropriate human-review and approval processes for AI-powered systems.Document system architecture, workflows, integrations, and operating procedures.Measure the business impact of every major project. What We're Looking ForWe are looking for someone with demonstrated experience in security, permissions, and responsible handling of business/customer dataWhat Matters More Than Your RésuméWe care about what you have actually built.Candidates should be prepared to show examples of AI systems, applications, integrations, agents, or automations they personally designed or developed. We are especially interested in candidates who can say:"Give me the business problem, let me understand the process, and I'll figure out how to build the solution."The Person We're Looking ForYou may be a great fit if you are:Highly curiousA creative problem solverComfortable working in a startup environmentSelf-directedResourcefulTechnically capableBusiness-mindedComfortable experimentingAble to communicate technical concepts to nontechnical leadersObsessed with improving inefficient processesComfortable building something when there is no existing blueprintWe want someone who sees a repetitive 20-step business process and immediately starts thinking:"Why are people still doing all of this manually?"Success in This RoleYour success will not be measured simply by how many AI projects you launch. We will measure:Hours of manual work eliminatedCost savings generatedProcesses automatedSystems successfully integratedReduction in human errorsImprovement in response timesRevenue generated or protectedEmployee adoptionReliability of deployed systemsOverall return on investmentFirst 90 DaysDuring your first 90 days, you will work directly with company leadership to:First 30 Days – DiscoverStudy existing business processes and identify high-value AI, automation, projects will be considered. We value demonstrated capability over credentials.Interview ProcessQualified candidates should be prepared to:Discuss systems and automations they personally built.Demonstrate previous AI/integration projects when possible.Explain how they approach an inefficient business process.Complete a practical AI/automation challenge as part of the final interview
