As we continue to grow, we are now seeking to strengthen our Construction team with a Assistant Project Manager atour Castlebar or Dublin.

We operate in a variety of geographies including Ireland, the UK, France, Italy, Germany, wider Europe, the Nordic countries and North America, with aspirations to grow and expand our international markets and to develop our services to encompass the broadest range of renewable and low carbon technologies.

The Irish Construction Project Management Team comprises a professional and passionate group of engineers and construction management professionals supporting our clients to deliver their renewable energy projects on time, within budget and to the highest quality and safety standards. We operate in a cooperative, supportive and open manner and support all staff in developing to their full potential. Our team provide technical advisory, site supervision and project management services to make sure that projects are planned and constructed in line with necessary requirements.

Supported by a Senior Project Manager, the successful applicant will: assist in providing construction management services on a consultancy basis; support the project team and client to achieve the objectives of individual renewables projects; and grow, develop and consolidate Natural Power’s pre-construction and construction phase service provisions.

Projects include onshore wind, solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS), hydro, renewable heat and a variety of other associated evolving technologies.

While specific experience working in the renewables sector is not a pre-requisite it is a very desirable attribute for applicants to the role. Similarly experience of electrical engineering, and in particular transmission connections, is of particular benefit.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

The main purpose of the role is to assist the project team providing successful pre-construction and construction phase consultancy services by supporting project managers to deliver client and contract requirements. Typical (non-exhaustive) tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Assist and undertake pre-construction, and construction phase services in connection with Irish, UK, wider European and global renewable developments.

  • Assist and prepare for submission of various documents, including but not limited to:

    • Tender technical documentation and Employer’s Requirements

    • Contract preparation and management (TSA, EPC, Civil / Electrical Balance of Plant (BoP))

    • Planning condition discharging

    • Progress reports

  • Work with key stakeholders (client, planning authorities, statutory environmental authorities, local communities, utilities, highway authorities TSO/DSO, TAO, etc.) in delivering construction management services.

  • Administration relating to projects including management of project budgets, risk and TQ registers, monthly reporting, contract claims and variations, payment certificates and action trackers

  • Minute client and contractor meetings both in person on site and remotely

  • Coordinate design reviews and manage maintenance and sharing of comment logs

  • Ad hoc assessments and tasks associated with project management as directed by the project team involved

  • Take ownership of specific aspects of projects

  • Deputise for Project Mangers as required

This is a PERMANENT, FULL-TIME role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday Hybrid - 3 days onsite or in the office and 2 days WFH.
