Job description

Role:

The Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and delivering construction projects safely, on time, and within budget. This role involves managing day‑to‑day project activities, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Support

  • Assist the Project Manager in planning project schedules, resources, and budgets.

  • Coordinate daily construction activities and act as a liaison between subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and the internal project team.

  • Participate in project meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and track action items.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain up‑to‑date project documentation including drawings, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reports.

  • Help prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for internal stakeholders and clients.

  • Track project costs, update budget spreadsheets, and assist with invoice verification.

Site Management

  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.

  • Assist in identifying and resolving site issues, constraints, and technical challenges.

  • Support quality assurance and quality control processes.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance

  • Promote and uphold all site safety standards in line with company and regulatory requirements.

  • Assist in preparing safety documentation (method statements, risk assessments, permits).

  • Support site teams in resolving safety concerns promptly.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency with project management and construction software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore)

  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.

  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.

  • 1–3 years of experience in construction or project coordination roles preferred.

  • Knowledge of local building regulations, industry standards, and site safety practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €55,000.00-€75,000.00 per year
