Job Role: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Location: UAE

Key Responsibilities: The role involves assisting senior surveyors in cost management, contract administration, and compliance with CDM requirements to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective project delivery.

• Cost estimation: Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for projects, including materials, labor, and overheads.

• Tender preparation: Support in compiling tender documents, bills of quantities, and pricing schedules.

• Contract administration: Monitor compliance with contractual terms and assist in managing variations and claims.

• Site measurement: Conduct on-site measurements and verify quantities against project drawings and specifications.

• Progress reporting: Prepare regular reports on project costs, progress, and resource utilization.

• Coordination: Liaise with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure smooth execution of work fronts.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project costs, variations, and correspondence.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Degree or master's in quantity surveying.

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience

• Mandatory experience working on RTA, ALDAR, or DMT UAE authority projects

• Certified in NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE certification

• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE laws, regulations, and best practices

Skills

• Excellent communication, reporting, and coordination skills

• Ability to work independently on site and manage multiple work fronts
