Position Summary:
The Associate Business Data Analyst I will ensure that data is moving efficiently and smoothly between AFFLINK and all customers, distributors, and suppliers, and will also serve internally as a liaison between IT and all other departments. In addition to technical skills, this position requires strong business process analysis, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. With minimal supervision, the person must be able to monitor day-to-day processes, analyze and diagnose errors, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. The position requires both written and verbal communication with members and suppliers on a daily basis.
Position Responsibilities:

Vigilance in monitoring daily electronic data processes, and resolution of any issues, both independently and in coordination with other team members.

Identify errors in data submitted by trading partners and provide technical assistance in resolving problems.

Clearly communicate information, ideas, or instructions verbally and in writing.

Test and setup new document processing between customers, members, and suppliers.

Provide technical assistance to other departments and business units to make sure data like orders, acknowledgments, ship notices, invoices, and reports are accurately processed and published.

Provide hands-on intervention to processes as needed, e.g. cross-references between distributor and supplier.

Write ad-hoc queries and/or reports that retrieve data from systems to investigate data issues.

EDI, XML, and regular text file data handling.

Monitor FTP, AS2, and VAN processes.

Manage all EDI projects.

Provide support to internal applications.

Assist and manage special projects within the department.

Organize and prioritize tasks per an established timeline and follow-up to ensure appropriate completion.

Create and maintain documentation related to operational tasks and troubleshooting for applications in a central repository.

Efficiently manage and multi-task multiple assignments with a sense of urgency and attention to detail in a high paced environment.

Proactively undertake additional responsibilities.

Complete all tasks, duties and projects as assigned.
-
Additional responsibilities include application testing, report design and development, and some level of programming to support internal applications.
Qualifications:
Associate or BS degree in Information Technology/Systems or the equivalent of 5 plus years of work experience in a specific job-related position (s)
