Why does the job exist?
The Associate Data Analyst will:
Ensure system integrity and functionality by creating test case scenarios and executing tests using predetermined data from user stories;
Exercise test scripts, record actual results, and compare actual outcomes with expected results to validate system performance;
Provide documentation of system behavior, troubleshoot issues, and identify and document system defects;
Validate system functionality after each release throughout the Agile process to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance;
How does it get done?
The Associate Data Analyst is responsible for:
Conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for the Automated System Program and Eligibility Network (ASPEN), ASPEN+, Unified Portal, and supporting systems such as Insights, BeWell NMHIX, ASPEN Impact Dash, and NM Service Connect to determine whether system requirements are met and systems are functioning as expected;
Conducting formal testing aligned with user needs, requirements, and business processes;
Completing system enhancements, monitoring and triaging system defects, determining root cause analysis, and performing routine system maintenance activities;
Resolving issues submitted by ASPEN users via telephone or the portal;
Creating and following up on incident reports using Cherwell, ClearQuest, and DameWare;
Troubleshooting and documenting system issues and providing instruction on eligibility determination, benefit issuance, name clearance, interfaces, correspondence, account creation, password resets, and other associated system requests.

Responsible for working directly with internal and external agencies, leadership, staff, and other stakeholders as appropriate.

Minimum Qualification
High School diploma or equivalent and six (6) months of experience directly related to the position in research, statistics, computer science, data analysis, accounting, auditing, finance, economics, business, public administration, budgeting, management, and/or systems analysis or related professional certification as determined by the hiring agency. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) months may substitute for the required experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
Must possess or obtain Defensive Driving Certificate.
Working Conditions
Office setting, exposure to Visual/Video Display terminal (VDT) and extensive computer and telephone usage. Some travel will be required. Flexible schedules are required during testing time frames.
