POSITION TITLE: Associate Product Manager
DEPARTMENT: Marketing
REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing
BROAD FUNCTION (General Purpose of Function)
The Associate Product Manager supports the development, commercialization, and ongoing management of Innovasis spinal implant and enabling technology product lines. This is a product ownership role designed to develop toward full Product Manager responsibility. The Associate Product Manager will have direct responsibility for assigned commercial products and selected new product development programs, working cross-functionally with Engineering/R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Sales, Clinical, and Marketing. For assigned products, the Associate Product Manager serves as the primary internal product owner and maintains accountability throughout the product lifecycle—from early development and surgeon input through alpha launch, commercialization, and ongoing product management.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES (Nature of Decisions Made)

Serve as the primary Product Management owner for assigned product lines and development programs.

Develop strong knowledge of the clinical application, instrumentation, surgical technique, competitive landscape, and value proposition of assigned products.

Maintain accountability for assigned product strategy, project timelines, milestones, deliverables, cross-functional coordination, and ongoing commercial needs.

Own selected new product development programs from concept through commercialization with guidance from Marketing leadership.

Coordinate activities between Marketing, Engineering/R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Sales, and Clinical teams to move assigned projects forward.

Participate in surgeon design and evaluation meetings; gather, organize, and communicate surgeon and customer feedback to development teams.

Support definition of product requirements based on clinical needs, competitive products, market opportunities, and surgeon input.

Track project decisions, dependencies, risks, action items, and open deliverables; escalate significant barriers when appropriate.

Support design evaluations, cadaver labs, surgeon meetings, product validation activities, and other development milestones.

Develop and execute alpha launch plans for assigned products, including surgeon/site readiness, field support, structured feedback, training, and commercialization activities.

Attend surgical cases and provide field support as appropriate to experience and training while continuing to build OR and clinical proficiency.

Develop launch materials, product messaging, presentations, competitive positioning, sales tools, training resources, and educational materials.

Serve as a Product Management resource for the Sales organization and distributor network and support surgeon, distributor, trade show, lab, and training activities.

Monitor product utilization, customer feedback, adoption, revenue, competitive activity, and other relevant performance indicators for assigned products.

Ensure product communications and marketing materials align with approved regulatory indications, claims, and company requirements.

Support internal and external product training for employees, distributors, surgeons, and Key Opinion Leaders.

Manage assigned Marketing programs or communication channels, including company social media responsibilities, as directed.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION (Education and Experience)
EDUCATION:
Minimum education required to perform duties.

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, Communications, or a related field.

Equivalent relevant experience considered.
EXPERIENCE:
-
Years Experience in marketing, product management, project management, healthcare, medical devices, or another technical/regulated industry preferred.

Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
-
Experience coordinating multiple projects, priorities, and cross-functional stakeholders.
-
Experience working with physicians, healthcare professionals, customers, or sales organizations is preferred.
-
Exposure to medical device product development, commercialization, FDA-regulated environments, or spine/orthopedics is preferred.

Willingness and ability to travel for surgeon meetings, surgical cases, cadaver labs, training programs, trade shows, and other business activities.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
