A
Business Development Director
is responsible for developing business strategies, expanding markets, building strategic partnerships, acquiring key clients, and driving revenue growth. The role leads business development activities, manages major relationships, identifies new opportunities, and supports the organization's long-term commercial growth.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement business development strategies and growth plans.

Identify new markets, clients, partnerships, and business opportunities.

Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.

Lead negotiations, proposals, tenders, contracts, and commercial agreements.

Monitor sales pipelines, revenue targets, forecasts, and business performance.

Conduct market, customer, and competitor research.

Develop business cases, commercial proposals, and growth opportunities.

Coordinate with sales, marketing, finance, operations, and management teams.

Explore strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and market expansion opportunities.

Prepare business development reports, forecasts, and management updates.

Identify commercial risks and recommend appropriate solutions.

Lead and develop business development teams to achieve growth targets.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in
Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Management
, or a related field.

Master's degree or MBA is advantageous.

Significant experience in business development, sales, commercial management, or a related field.

Proven experience in generating new business and revenue growth.

Strong knowledge of business development, market expansion, sales strategy, and commercial planning.

Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.

Strong analytical, strategic-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Experience managing key accounts, tenders, contracts, and strategic partnerships.

Familiarity with CRM, sales analytics, and business-management systems.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

UAE or regional market experience is advantageous.
