Developer (Consultant)

LOCATION: NY Metro - Onsite 3 Days a week

Compensation: TBD, This is a contract position. You will sign a consulting agreement and be paid a per diem rate. Preference given to direct C2C candidates without a 3rd party.

COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Mazuma Software is a technology consulting firm specializing in systems development for the hedge fund industry. We are seeking a mid-level full stack developer to join our team supporting a leading investment management firm in New York City.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You will help improve the client’s payments and treasury platforms, working closely with its New York development team. Your work will include solution design, feature development, testing, production releases, troubleshooting, and occasional payment and treasury reporting requests.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality software, communicates clearly, works independently, and collaborates effectively with technical and business colleagues.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with business analysts and developers to understand requirements and contribute to solution design.

• Develop and maintain applications using C#, ASP.NET, .NET Framework or .NET Core, and Angular.

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations with existing systems.

• Work with relational databases, primarily Microsoft SQL Server.

• Write unit tests and contribute to reliable, maintainable code.

• Support production releases, investigate issues, and implement fixes.

• Support ad hoc reporting related to payments and treasury operations.

• Work with other technologies as needed, including Java-based services and MEAN stack applications.

• Contribute ideas to improve applications and development processes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least five years of hands-on development experience with C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Framework or .NET Core.

• Strong front-end development experience with Angular.

• Experience with relational databases, preferably Microsoft SQL Server, and strong SQL skills.

• Experience building RESTful APIs.

• Solid understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and software development best practices.

• Strong unit testing experience.

• Experience working in Agile development environments, including mocking, refactoring, and version control with Git.

• Ability to understand business requirements and communicate effectively with business analysts and technical colleagues.

• Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements.

• Ability to work onsite in Midtown Manhattan three days per week.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps.

• Knowledge of MuleSoft.

• Experience with SWIFT, payment systems, or treasury systems.

This is a full-time consulting contract paid at an agreed daily rate under a consulting agreement. Direct C2C candidates are preferred.
