Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

We are a rapidly growing accounting firm on Southeast Florida's Treasure Coast in St. Lucie County looking for an experienced CPA Tax Accountant. The ideal candidate is a motivated professional who takes pride in meeting the challenge of accurately preparing complex tax returns while providing tax planning and advisory services to create loyal client relations. Previous work experience, along with a degree in Accounting and a CPA license is required for this role. This position offers a flexible schedule most of the year, excluding tax season, with additional compensation of a bonus structure. Considerable potential for advancement through to partnership level (which would include health insurance).

Responsibilities

• Prepare/review income tax returns and financial statements for a variety of clients

• Prepare tax projections and estimated tax calculations

• Review payroll tax and sales tax returns

• Utilize accounting and tax software such as: Accounting CS, QuickBooks and UltraTax

• IRS audit assistance and tax notice response

• Develop and maintain long lasting client relationships as a trusted tax advisor

• Guide clients to tax-saving strategies while maintaining tax law compliance

• Exceed client expectations while maintaining strict confidentiality

• Build internal relationships to foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration

Skills/Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Certified Public Accountant or CPA candidate

• Thorough knowledge of accounting and financial procedures

• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Experience with accounting software; QuickBooks, Accounting CS, UltraTax

• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail

• Integrity with an ability to handle confidential information

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
