CHIEF ACCOUNTANT

Location: Doha, Qatar

Department: Finance & Accounts

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Salary: QAR 10,000 per month

We are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant with a strong background in accounting, treasury management, project costing, and trade finance. Candidates with proven experience in trading and project-based organizations are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, general ledger, and month-end/year-end closing.

• Manage treasury, cash flow, bank reconciliations, and liquidity planning.

• Handle Letters of Credit (LCs), Bank Guarantees (LGs), Murabaha, Trust Receipts, and trade finance facilities.

• Supervise project accounting, project costing, and inventory control.

• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and collections.

• Coordinate payroll accounting, leave provisions, gratuity, and end-of-service benefits with HR.

• Ensure financial accuracy, internal controls, audit compliance, and timely management reporting.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of accounting and finance experience.

• Minimum 3–5 years in a Chief Accountant or Senior Accountant role.

• Experience in trading and/or project-based organizations is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of ERP systems, advanced Excel, data integrity, and financial reporting.

• Hands-on experience with LCs, LGs, Murabaha, Trust Receipts, and trade finance facilities.

• Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

• Qatar experience is an advantage.
