Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with specialized airport project experience to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The Civil Engineer will provide technical expertise, design review, construction supervision, quality assurance, and multidisciplinary coordination as part of the PMC team delivering airport infrastructure and building-related projects.

The role will focus on the planning, review, and supervision of

airside civil works

, including aircraft aprons, pavements, taxiway interfaces, internal roads, earthworks, drainage systems, site investigations, borehole surveys, topographical surveys, GPR scanning, utility coordination, and civil works associated with airport buildings and facilities.

The successful candidate will ensure that all design and construction activities are executed in accordance with project requirements, approved drawings, technical specifications, and applicable industry standards, including

ICAO, GACAR, FAA, Saudi Building Code, and relevant international engineering standards

. The role requires close collaboration with contractors, consultants, airport operations, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of airport infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and supervise the design and construction of

    aircraft aprons, taxiways, airside pavements, service roads, and airport infrastructure

    .

  • Oversee pavement engineering activities including

    rigid, flexible, heavy-duty, and aircraft stand pavements

    , ensuring compliance with applicable standards and specifications.

  • Monitor

    earthworks, grading, excavation, compaction, drainage, and roadworks

    within operational airport environments.

  • Review and coordinate

    geotechnical investigations, borehole surveys, topographical surveys, and GPR scanning activities

    .

  • Assess survey data, geotechnical reports, pavement designs, utility investigations, and construction methodologies.

  • Coordinate interfaces with

    AGL, drainage, utilities, fuel hydrant, ICT/CNS, electrical, structural, architectural, and MEP systems

    .

  • Conduct design reviews at Concept, Schematic, Detailed Design, Tender, and IFC stages.

  • Review technical submissions including

    RFIs, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, ITPs, NCRs, and as-built documentation

    .

  • Perform site inspections and monitor contractor performance, workmanship, quality control, testing, and compliance with approved designs.

  • Support PMC and project management teams through technical reporting, issue resolution, stakeholder coordination, and progress monitoring.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in

    Civil Engineering

    (Professional Engineering certification preferred).

  • 9+ years of Civil Engineering experience

    .

  • Minimum

    3 years of airport, aviation, or airside infrastructure project experience

    preferred.

  • Proven experience in:

    • Airside civil works and aircraft pavements

    • Airport roads and infrastructure

    • Earthworks and grading

    • Geotechnical investigations and boreholes

    • Topographical surveys and GPR scanning

    • Design review and construction supervision

    • QA/QC, testing, inspections, and technical documentation

  • Strong knowledge of airport standards including

    ICAO Annex 14, GACAR, FAA Advisory Circulars, ASTM, AASHTO, and Saudi Building Code

    .

  • Proficiency in

    AutoCAD and Microsoft Office

    ; BIM/CDE/EDMS experience is an advantage.

  • Excellent technical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Preferred Background

  • Experience in

    PMC, consultancy, or client-side supervision roles

    .

  • Familiarity with working in

    operational airport environments

    , managing airside constraints, phased construction activities, and safety-critical infrastructure.
