Civil Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, manage, and supervise all civil maintenance, structural repairs, waterproofing, fit-out, and architectural refurbishment works across facility assets.

• Conduct thorough site inspections and technical structural assessments to evaluate building defects, concrete spalling, moisture ingress, tile delamination, or architectural wear, producing detailed snag lists and inspection reports.

• Prepare comprehensive commercial and technical documentation, including detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimations, competitive pricing models, scopes of work (SOW), and material take-offs.

• Utilize AutoCAD to review, modify, and draft civil schematics, floor plans, structural layouts, and architectural detail drawings for repair or modification works.

• Coordinate and oversee field execution, directing civil supervisors, skilled tradesmen (masons, carpenters, and painters), and specialist subcontractors to ensure works meet structural safety and quality standards.

• Monitor project expenditures, material allocations, and timelines to ensure all civil maintenance activities and minor project works are completed strictly within allocated budgets and SLA constraints.

• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) codes, local municipal building regulations, and statutory civil defense requirements.

• Liaise directly with clients, property managers, and external stakeholders, managing technical inquiries, project progress updates, and formal sign-offs.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in civil engineering within facilities management, building maintenance, or renovation/refurbishment projects.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with mandatory MOHESR attestation (Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research).

• Strong technical and commercial expertise in civil defect diagnosis, material estimations, BOQ preparation, pricing structures, and drawing drafting using AutoCAD and MS Office.

• Multilingual communication skills: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic and/or Malayalam is highly preferred.

• Solid leadership and contractor management capabilities to effectively organize site labor, manage subcontractors, and conduct client-facing technical meetings.

• Location requirement: Must be based in Abu Dhabi or willing to relocate prior to joining.

• Valid UAE driving license (preferred).

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
