Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer – Precast Concrete Products to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the engineering, production, quality control, and installation of precast concrete products and structural elements.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of precast concrete manufacturing, structural drawings, reinforcement detailing, mould preparation, concrete production, quality control, and production coordination. This role requires close collaboration with production, QA/QC, design, site, and project teams to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret structural, architectural, and precast shop drawings.

• Coordinate with design and production teams regarding precast elements, reinforcement details, embedded items, dimensions, and tolerances.

• Prepare and review technical documentation, production drawings, method statements, and material requirements.

• Monitor precast production activities, including reinforcement fabrication, mould preparation, concrete casting, vibration, curing, demoulding, finishing, and storage.

• Ensure manufactured products comply with approved drawings, project specifications, relevant standards, and quality requirements.

• Coordinate with the QA/QC team to identify and resolve defects, non-conformities, and production issues.

• Inspect reinforcement cages, moulds, embedded items, dimensions, and finished precast products.

• Assist in optimizing production methods, material usage, manpower, and manufacturing processes.

• Coordinate production schedules and ensure precast elements are completed according to project requirements.

• Support the preparation of quantity take-offs, material estimates, and production requirements.

• Coordinate with site teams regarding delivery, erection, installation requirements, and technical issues.

• Investigate technical problems and recommend practical engineering solutions.

• Maintain accurate engineering, inspection, and production records.

• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and applicable construction and manufacturing standards.

• Participate in project meetings and provide technical support whenever required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

• 3–5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in precast concrete manufacturing or structural concrete projects.

• Strong understanding of precast concrete production processes and quality requirements.

• Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, reinforcement, and precast shop drawings.

• Knowledge of concrete technology, reinforcement detailing, embedded items, mould systems, curing, and finishing.

• Familiarity with relevant international standards and project specifications.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Good communication and coordination abilities.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of relevant structural/design software is an advantage.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing and project environment.

• UAE/GCC experience is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with structural precast elements such as columns, beams, walls, slabs, stairs, barriers, and other concrete products.

• Experience coordinating with production, QA/QC, consultants, contractors, and site teams.

• Knowledge of precast production planning and quality-control procedures.

• Familiarity with lifting, handling, storage, transportation, and erection requirements for precast elements.
