Role Description :

The Civil Engineer – Sewerage & Irrigation (DM Approved) is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role involves designing, reviewing, and supervising sewerage and irrigation networks for demolition and construction projects, ensuring compliance with Dubai Municipality standards and other local regulations. Daily tasks include preparing engineering drawings and calculations, coordinating with project managers and site teams, attending inspections, and resolving technical issues related to stormwater, drainage, and irrigation systems. The engineer will manage planning and scheduling of utility works, oversee contractors and subcontractors, and ensure that all activities meet safety, quality, and environmental requirements. The role also includes regular liaison with authorities for approvals and permits, and preparation of technical documentation, reports, and as-built records.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Civil Engineering, including civil engineering design and infrastructure works for sewerage, irrigation, and stormwater systems.

• DM approval/qualification for Sewerage and/or Irrigation Works is mandatory

• Minimum 4–5 years of relevant UAE experience

• Experience in civil engineering planning, project coordination, and site supervision for utility networks and related construction activities.

• Proficiency in stormwater management, drainage design, and hydraulic calculations for urban infrastructure projects.

• Dubai Municipality (DM) approval as a Civil Engineer, with demonstrated familiarity with local codes, standards, and permitting processes.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.

• Ability to use relevant engineering and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar) and prepare technical drawings and documentation.

• Strong communication and coordination skills to work with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and government authorities.

• Proven commitment to safety, quality control, and environmental best practices in construction and demolition environments.

• Previous experience in Dubai particularly in sewerage, irrigation, or utility projects, is mandatory.
